A very challenging 21.1km route that will test even the strongest runners
Storm the Fort Half Marathon uses the same run course as the Duathlon. The only addition will be that half marathon competitors will complete a short lap of the field at HQ before crossing the finish line. It’s a very challenging 21.1km route that will test even the strongest runners. The majority of the route is on footpaths, trails and forest paths and after circumnavigating Colstey Wood, continues on to Sunny Hill and the ancient Bury Ditches Hill Fort.  After the Fort summit, there will be a short section that skirts the hill before retracing the route back through Gilden Down and back to transition. There will be two water/aid stations on the route.

Race start will be at 8am. Athletes competing the Half Marathon and Duathlons will set off together.
All Half Marathon finishers will receive a fantastic medal, a bottle of ‘Storm The Fort’ beer, plus complimentary post race refreshment.
